Not yet

 

The future was different. People either joined the order or became a hunted criminals. Once you got caught breaking rules, you never got the chance to see a sunlight ever again. 

People that never gave up on hope and freedom lived nowhere and everywhere, getting out of the order's claw. There was a way to escape this terrifying reality just for a moment. For a second. 

And there was a couple that used to escape the reality like this for most of the time. They were searching for a way how to get away together. Stay together because this world didn't make it any possible.

They met after couple of days again. Their reunion was always immensely emotional. She and him welcomed each other with the embrace as strong as the diamond that is impossible to crush. The strength of their connection made the reality frozen and be just one person. Nobody was able to break the invisible chain that was keeping them together. They knew that they love each other without speaking a word. Their eyes spoke instead. Their little touches that one would find ridiculous - they could speak instead. 

If he was falling, she would jump to catch him. If he was dying, she would rip her heart to replace his. If she was dragged away from him, he would kill for her to get her back. 

As the order was stronger, they knew that they are running out of time. 

One late afternoon, they were in the forbidden garden. The place that people barely visited even it used to be such a happy place. The sky was orange as the sun was slowly setting down and clouds remained white and grey. As her back gently touched the grass covered in the leaves, he straddled her with a smile shining down to her. It was so warming that she nearly had a feeling that this projection of gentleness strokes her own face and she smiled back. 

"Do you really want this?" He asked.

"Yes." She nodded while running her palms up his thighs to his waist. "But I want to kiss first. And keep kissing you while you're doing this to me."

"That can be arranged." He nodded and pulled out the black cable out of his pocket. She lift up her head for a moment so he could wrap it around her throat. 

"I love you." She smiled before she reached for him to bring him closer. And he let her do that.

"I love you too." He gently kissed her lips before pulling back to look at her once again.

"We'll be together out there," they both said and she leaned for another kiss. The cable around her throat wrapped it stronger and she wrapped her arms around him stronger. And stronger. It was painful a bit but they both knew it needs to be done. The kiss made it easier. To enlighten and awake. 

It didn't last for long soon and the kiss became weaker and distant. Til it disappeared. 

Everything felt so misty at beginning but as her eyelids let the sunlight tickle her eyes, she saw a white light at beginning. Before she realized that she's laying in the bed. Alone. Without him. And there was a song of the dancing waves of the ocean outside. And birds. It nearly felt like a heaven on that place. It felt like a place that she should live in with him. 

She stood up and looked out of the window. But the beach was empty. Just like the house. It was familiar and different at the same time. She walked out of the room and across the hall. But more she walked away, the louder pitch in her ears became. It was like a countdown. And she knew that this place is not her home yet. That she can't be there just yet. Not without him. And just not yet.
